My dad has Alzheimer’s disease. Can he participate in an Adult Day Care Center?
Yes, the day program is geared for persons with early or mid-stage dementia. These programs focus on activities that encourage participation and nurture the special needs of these individuals.
Does my loved one have to attend on a set schedule?
No, you set the schedule.
Can the hours of day care be extended or modified beyond the 8:30 am to 4:30 pm?
Yes, if you have special hour needs, we will work with you.
Can my loved one attend if they have special needs?
We can accommodate many special needs such as assistance with toileting, incontinence, assistance with eating, limited mobility, etc. Our staff provides medication reminders. Salon services, showers and medication management may also be scheduled for an additional charge.
Are meals included in the hourly fee?
An afternoon snack is included in the fee. Breakfast and lunch are available at a reasonable charge.
Can you accommodate special diets?
Yes. All meals are prepared on-site, and the cook is made aware of all diet restrictions.
What kinds of activities do you offer?
Our activities vary daily and include Chair Exercise, Tai Chi, Arts and Crafts, Bingo, Trivia, Charades, Karaoke and Live Entertainment among others. We also celebrate birthdays and holidays.
Do you provide transportation?
No, however, we have a transportation coordinator who can make arrangements for transportation.
Do you accept Medicaid for payment, or other options?
No, this is a private pay day-care program. We do offer a sliding fee schedule to help persons with limited financial resources.
